Araldite CW 1312 / HY 1300 Meets European Railway Fire Safety Standard

The European railway fire safety standard EN45545 will be a mandatory requirement across Europe from the 1st January 2018.

Component manufacturers will need to ensure materials used on European trains are compliant with the standard.

Huntsman have announced Araldite CW 1312/HY 1300 has been certified to meet European railway fire safety standard EN45545.

Araldite CW 1312/HY 1300 is a optimally filled casting system that exhibits good resistance to thermal ageing and thermal shock resistance. The low viscosity makes it suitable for small castings, laminating and impregnating applications.

Rail applications include bonding induction components, transformers, generator and motors and pressure-sensitive components.

  • High thermal conductivity
  • Good thermal shock resistance
  • Flammability UL 94 V-0 (3.2mm)
  • Railway certified EN45545-2 R22/23 HL1/HL2
