DuPont has achieved both with one of its latest product offerings, according to Edison Universe, which presented the DuPont with a silver Edison Award for one of the solutions in the BetaForce TC product range.
DuPont Mobility & Materials’ BetaForce 2800 TC is a thermally conductive adhesive developed in conjunction with Audi to support the 150kW super-fast charging capabilities of the Audi e-tron.
“DuPont continues to impress us year after year with their Edison Award entries,” said Frank Bonafilia, Edison Universe Executive Director. “DuPont’s 2021 entry for BetaForce 2800 TC thermally conductive structural adhesives is a groundbreaking and environmentally-friendly contribution to the automotive industry; being ultimately why they were chosen as a winner in the Sustainability category.”
DuPont’s BetaForce TC thermal-conductive 2K adhesives are promising solutions for the e-mobility landscape, with DuPont saying the products have the ability to “significantly reduce the number of components needed for battery pack assembly, optimising cost for battery pack design.” BetaForce TC also is designed for fast dispensing, a key component for efficient and optimised production.
“As a past honoree, we are especially proud of this continued recognition of our solutions,” said Andreas Lutz, Global Technology Leader for DuPont Mobility & Materials. “Sustainability is important to our organisation and innovations that support reduced CO2 emissions are crucial to advances in evolving mobility platforms.”
The Edison Awards, named in honour of Thomas Alva Edison, are presented by Edison Universe, a non-profit organisation dedicated to recognising, honouring, and fostering innovations and innovators.
