The new DOWSIL TC-4530 CV Gap Filler is a soft, compressible material designed to dissipate heat from a heat source such as a printed circuit board (PCB) to the cold source heat sink. Supplied as a two-part liquid component kit that once thoroughly mixed, cures into a soft elastomer, DOWSIL TC-4530 creates reliable cooling performance in automotive modules. Thermally conductive silicones function as heat transfer media, with long-term reliable protection of sensitive circuits. The new product provides durable dielectric insulation and a barrier against environmental contaminants whilst relieving shock and vibration. The low surface tension of silicones enables them to wet most surfaces, lowering thermal contact resistance between the substrate and the material.
