Permabond F202 is an anaerobic adhesive with excellent resistance to peel and impact forces. Primarily designed for use on metal surfaces.

Permabond F202 can resist the thermal stresses that may be generated when bonding dissimilar surfaces. Its ‘non-drip’ consistency makes it suitable for use on larger fittings or where wide tolerances are expected.

Surface Preparation

  • Surfaces should be clean, dry and grease-free before applying the adhesive. Use a suitable solvent (such as acetone or isopropanol) for the degreasing of surfaces.
  • Some metals such as aluminium, copper and its alloys will benefit from light abrasion with emery cloth (or similar), to remove the oxide layer.

Directions of Use

  1. Apply a circumferential bead, preferentially to the female component.
  2. Assemble with a twisting action for larger components use thixotropic products to prevent run off.
  3. Take care to ensure adhesive does not enter ball races or other mechanisms
