Description Permabond TA4611

This adhesive has been developed to bond low-surface energy plastics such as polypropylene and polyethylene. It does not require primer or expensive surface treatments. It can also be used to join a wide variety of other materials, such as metals and composites, and is ideal for joining dissimilar surfaces. This product does not contain microspheres, making it suitable for joints with smaller gaps.

Instructions for use Permabond TA4611

The instructions for using this adhesive are as follows:

1) Surfaces must be clean, dry and free of grease before joining.
2) Apply a thin coat of pre-mixed adhesive through a static mixing nozzle.
3) Assemble the components and fasten them.
4) Maintain pressure until the driving force is achieved. The time required will vary according to the joint design, gap and surfaces being joined.
5) Allow 36-48 hours for the adhesive to fully cure.

Note: Adhesive outside of a closed joint (ie excess material) will cure more slowly and may feel soft due to contact with air. Adhesive inside the joint will cure solid.
