Description Permabond TA4631

It has been developed to bond low surface energy plastics such as polypropylene and polyethylene, without the need for expensive surface treatment or primers. It can also be used to join a wide variety of other materials such as metals and composite materials and is ideal for joining dissimilar surfaces. This product is similar to TA4630 but does not contain microspheres making it suitable for joints with smaller gaps.

Instructions for use Permabond TA4631

The instructions for this adhesive are as follows:

1) Surfaces must be clean, dry and free of grease before joining.
2) Apply a thin coat of pre-mixed adhesive through a static mixing nozzle.
3) Assemble the components and fasten them.
4) Maintain pressure until the driving force is achieved. The time required will vary according to the joint design, gap and surfaces being joined.
5) Allow 24-36 hours for the adhesive to fully cure.

Note: Adhesive outside of a closed joint (ie excess material) will cure more slowly and may feel soft due to contact with air. Adhesive inside the joint will cure solid.
