Tectyl 5638W Premium Water-Based Sound & Vibration Reducer

Tectyl 5638W premium water-based sound and vibration reducer.

Tectyl 5638W is highly suitable for industrial applications in cars, trains and other mobile equipment.

It is used for the noise reduction of vehicle parts (doors, hoods, gear covers, etc.), ventilation system, containers (for glass, garbage, etc.), machinery constructions and boiler covers in the heating sector.

Tectyl 5638W can be painted over, after drying, with resin, epoxy and PVC-based paints.

Properties

• Muffles sound: Muffles vibrations by changing the frequency and reducing sound to the human ear.
• Environment: it is a water-based compound, with a minimum of organic volatile content, the product is also neutral pH.

Surface Preparation

• To achieve maximum protection performance, metal surfaces must be dry, clean, and free of rust, oil, and scale.
• Non-galvanised steel and untreated aluminium must be protected with an anti-corrosive primer before the application of Tectyl 5638W

Application

• Tectyl 5638W is formulated for use as supplied. Make sure that the surface to be treated is uniform. Avoid contamination with other products in pumps and pipes.
• It is recommended that the temperature of the product be at 20-25 º C at the time of its application.
• For small surfaces it can be applied with a spatula.
• For larger surfaces it is recommended to spray, with a stainless steel system with the following ratios: 50: 1 to 60: 1

Elimination

• In the wet phase Tectyl 5638W can be removed with (hot) water.
• After drying, Tectyl 5638W can only be removed with ethyl acetate.

Storage

• Store at temperatures between 10-35 º C.
• Shake slightly before using.
• Due to its composition, Tectyl 5638W during storage may be subject to viscosity changes after production.
