Dry coating of electrodes

Traditionally, the production of lithium-ion batteries has depended on the wet coating process, which uses a liquid paste of active material mixed with solvents. This process, while effective, is costly, energy-intensive and uses toxic solvents that must be recovered and distilled.

The dry electrode coating eliminates the need for these solvents, using an advanced polymer binder that mixes the active material into powder form. This process not only reduces production time and costs, but also minimises environmental impact, making it a more sustainable alternative.
