Xiameter PMX-561 Silicone Transformer Liquid for the power industry

Silicone fluids such as Xiameter PMX-561 provide excellent performance in liquid transformers where fire safety and thermal stability are of importance.

PMX-561 Silicone Transformer Liquid for energy industry

Xiameter PMX-561 silicone transformer liquid is used as a cooling and insulating fluid for transformers and electrical equipment such as high voltage switches and circuit breakers. The polydimethylsiloxane liquid contains no additives such as thermal stabilizers and is compatible with a range of solid electrical insulating materials.

Xiameter PMX-561 has a low viscosity (50 centistoke) with good electrical properties and operating capabilities over a wide range of temperatures. The silicone transformer liquid has a higher fire point and lower heat release rate than other types of class K insulating liquids, reducing the fire risk.

The high thermal stability and oxidation resistance makes it ideal for transformers that are indoors or near to buildings. Reducing power outages while extending the transformer service life. 

PMX-561 Silicone Transformer Liquid for the wind industry

Xiameter PMX-561 Silicone Transformer Liquid is non-toxic, non-halogenated and non-hazardous making it an environmentally safer alternative to mineral transformer oils.

The transformer liquid can be used across many industries from power and utilities, oil and gas operations to manufacturing facilities where fire safety is critical such as in trains and wind turbines.

Xiameter PMX-561 meets the requirements of IEC 60836 and ASTM D 4652-92 for use in electrical transformers. These standards cover the physical and electrical properties of fluid suitable for dielectric applications.  

Xiameter PMX-561 silicone transformer liquid was previously known as Dow Corning 561 Silicone Transformer Liquid.
